You MAY want to ensure that there isn't a problem with your oil pressure, first.

I had a 2001 Alero and everytime I had to go to the fuse panel-

mine was on the left of the dash, open car door and look. If thats it you'll see a piece that you can pop off to get inside. Inside there is a red button.Start the ignition and while the warning bell is chiming you hold down the red button. It will chime extra times as it is resetting itself. Then turn off and restart and the light should go out and it is reset. If it doesn't work the first time try it again. Good luck.

The one who said about the reset button is correct! Push & hold it until chime, wait for oil light to flash, then push & hold again until chime is done!(I have a 2000 ALERO)

if you mean "change oil" light, try this. Turn the key to on and press the gas all the way down twice, it should reset it.

you need to take it to a mechanic and he will reset it with a scope.

un hooking the battery will only temporarily shut the alarm off, if the sensor read a low oil condition it will not reset the alarm.

Sometimes unhooking the battery for like 15 minutes will work.
