If you can afford the car & the hit you will take on depreication & if you can afford the insurance & maintance. Also do you live in a warm weather climate where you can drive it all year long?

I wouldn't buy a Solstice. It's never a good idea to buy a new model its first year. The company hasn't had time to work out all the bugs yet. If you want a proven, reliable, fun-to-drive compact convertable sportscar, I would choose a Mazda Miata. They are fun to drive, peppy, very reliable and are proven to be good cars at a resonable price.

I would check with Car and Driver or Motor Trend. With the vehicle being so new, I don't think there has been sufficient time to determine the quality or reliability of the vehicle, but I do know it is a nice car for the money. I have actually been thinking of buying one myself. Though, I may just wait until the re-designed Dodge Challenger comes out.

The Solstice, even though it is new, is one of the best in its market. It will prove to be reliable and of course is very sporty and fast. Definetly a fun car! Get it and love every second of it!

Sounds pretty bada** to me. I would recommend it, they are different and the GXP has good HP and it is a convertible. NICE.
