I just recently had problems with my ABS light coming on so I got my anti-lock brakes replaced. Now (about 6 months later) my ABS light is back on plus my TRAC OFF light. My only speculation to the problem is that I do need to get my brakes replaced fairly soon. Is that the problem or is it something more complex? Thanks for the help!

ABS brakes don't need "replacing" you were ripped off usually its just a sensor that hasn't been pushed back in its socket after a pad or rotor change given the traction control light is on a sensor may have failed or not be reset cheap easy fix , if you go to an honest mechanic

ABS light is on, that is the problem. Take it to someone with a Tech 2 & see what codes have set & let them diagnose the car

Not sure where Bruce got his info from but they do not shutdown when the E-Brake is set. They are independant of each other

Set the emergency brake and fully release it.

These systems shut down when e-brake is even slightly set.

There may be an issue with one wheel sensor or the connection to it.

Not as big a job as "anti-lock brakes replaced"
